Funeral for Corporal Jordan Anderson

Corporal Jordan Anderson, who was killed in Afghanistan on July 4, 2007, will be honoured by his family, friends and colleagues at a military funeral service in Ottawa, Ontario.

Where:         Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 400 St. Laurent Blvd,
           Ottawa

When    :      Saturday, July 14, 1:30 p.m.

           Padre Stephane Sarazin
           Padre Yvonne Mills

Visitation:    Not open to the public or media.

Interment:     Saturday, July 14, 3:00 p.m.
           National Military Cemetery (Beechwood), Ottawa

The family has requested that that they not be solicited for interviews during or following the funeral and interment.

During the funeral service, no media coverage will be allowed inside the church. An exterior media location will be set up to facilitate media coverage without intruding on the solemn ceremony. As parking may be limited, media representatives are advised to arrive early and use the parking lot across the street from the church.

The family has specifically requested that all military members and media representatives leave the National Military Cemetery following the interment, allowing the family a last moment of privacy.
